Exploring Ireland ･ ｡ﾟ☆: *.☽ .* :☆ﾟ

I have been looking forward to this study abroad trip to Ireland ever since I saw the opportunity to travel, and I am excited to experience everything the country has to offer. This will be my first time traveling outside of the United States, which makes it feel even more special. One of my biggest dreams for this trip is to immerse myself in Irish culture and history, experiencing it firsthand rather than just reading about it in books. I am especially excited to explore the museums and art galleries, where I hope to see the works of the poets we’ve studied in class, like Yeats, as well as other artists I have yet to discover. I think being able to walk through the places that inspired some of Ireland’s most famous literature and art will make everything we’ve learned come alive.

I also have several personal goals for this trip. Academically, I want to deepen my understanding of Irish literature by connecting our classroom discussions to the people, places, and stories I encounter while there. Beyond school, I hope to make meaningful connections with both my classmates and the locals we meet along the way. I am curious to hear their stories and experiences, which I think will give me a more complete picture of life in Ireland. Additionally, I hope to challenge myself to try new things, whether that means tasting unfamiliar foods, navigating the cities on my own, or simply embracing all the unexpected moments that come with traveling. These goals may seem simple, but I believe they will make this experience truly unforgettable.

Although I do not have prior international travel experience, I see this trip as the beginning of something much bigger. I have always had a desire to explore the world, and I believe this adventure will fuel that curiosity even more. I also hope that this journey inspires me to continue seeking new experiences and learning from different cultures in the future. Most of all, I want to make the most of every moment, from discovering hidden gems in the museums to sharing stories with locals, and carry those memories with me for years to come. Dreaming big has brought me to this opportunity, and I am ready to embrace it fully.
